We are a friendly, informal group of Gardeners. Most members live south of Fort Worth in the Burleson, Joshua area.
We share gardening tips and advice on flowers, roses, veggies and native plants. We have two plant swaps each year. One in the spring and the other in the fall. We take road trips to visit gardens and nurseries. We learn new propagation techniques, tour local nurseries, and share ideas for garden crafts!
We have no membership dues and no officers! Everyone chips in when needed and decisions are made as a group. Most meetings are held in members homes. We don't have set dates for meetings, as meetings may consist of a tour of one of the members' gardens, tours of local nurseries, or garden crafts at one of our homes. For more information email gardengateclub@sbcglobal.net or call 817 447-3438
Happy gardening, Carol Ann

HOME MADE MOSQUITO SPRAY
This was on the channel 5 news a while back. Joanie posted it and tried it. "Well I mixed it up and sprayed the yard a few days ago and I have not seen or been bitten by any mosquitoes since. I'm not saying? I'm just saying? It appears to be working.
It's worth the gamble."
1/3 Epsom salt
1/3 flat beer ( I used a new can of beer)
1/3 Listerine ( I used Listerine mint, not a cheaper brand )
Fill miracle grow dispenser
water complete yard. I did not spray my plants.
Spray under the deck and in corners, also all of the grass.
Channel 5's source said that 1 application should last a full season.
