Winter didn't seem to cut me a break this year. I haven't stopped gardening!  I have onions, strawberries (hoop house overwinter), sugar snaps in mid-Feb. and we're ready for tomatoes on the last frost date March 16th. I have pruned 2 large trees, 3/4 of one french drain, started a 2nd french drain, directed run-off from my house through another drain leading to my rain garden. Pretty soon I'm going to start dry mortar Victorian trenching. It's a less expensive and nicer way to edge beds. All this digging is starting to make me feel like a mole! I replaced my hedge with poor drainage plants. The hedge runs along the french drain. I  moved several small trees as well. It looks so much better it was worth all the work. I'll bet everyone else on this list can say the same! Here in the sunbelt do gardeners really ever stop?
